BWT Financial is a locally owned firm of wealth managers based in Rotorua.
Making a decision about who to trust to help you achieve your financial goals is one of the most important you will ever make. We take the time get to know you and allow you time to get to know us. Our Team
Danielle Auld
Danielle has been working in the financial services industry for over 16 years in Edinburgh, London and New Zealand. Danielle spent five years specialising in providing investment advice to Entrepreneurs at Coutts & Co in London and assisted with several business exits during this time. She then went on to manage a department of Wealth Managers at Coutts. Now based in Rotorua, Danielle is an AFA (Authorised Financial Adviser – FSP 259825).
Danielle is passionate about helping people and enjoys building a deep understanding of her clients’ needs through long term relationships. She is a Director of Rotorua Regional Airport Limited, sits on the Investment Committee of Geyser Community Foundation, and is President of Rotorua Parents Centre.
Tim Wild
Tim Wild is a Chartered Accountant in public practice, and an Authorised Financial Advisor.
Tim grew up in Rotorua, and trained in accountancy with, what was then, McCallum Spurdle & Bright. In 1989 he left on what was to be a six year OE, working in a US precious metals and commodities company based in the City as an operations manager, and later on as finance manager. This period of time and a trip to the NYMEX exchange in the World Trade Centre, ignited a passion for financial markets and trading. After a short stint back in Auckland working as a financial accountant, Tim re-joined Bright Wild & Thomas as a partner. After a few years of research and consideration, he co-founded what is today BWT Financial .
This idea was borne from a client who had just exited their business, and asked “so now what do I do with my money?”
Tim says “there is a perception that businesses in Rotorua are smaller than some of the larger centres. In fact, our regions’ businesses are dealing with significant issues every day. We have the capability and expertise at BWT to help people manage these issues, and to help locals make good financial and business decisions.”
Tim is proud to live in Rotorua with Lara, with all the outdoor benefits available – especially mountain biking. His two daughters are now off on their university journeys in Wellington.
